Mrs. + Mrs. in Maryland

This beautiful Maryland wedding took place last year. To say that it was one of my favorites would be an absolute understatement. Sasha and Marissa had the wedding of their dreams! It was a perfect day filled with sunshine, laughter, and all of the love just spilling out of the corners of the property. Frederick Maryland is the home of Ceresville Mansion where the nuptials took place. The property is a historical home with lots of light, green and flowers everywhere you look, and a beautiful courtyard where the ceremony was held that has a lily pond that adorns the center of the aisle.

Sasha is a dear friend of mine from college. We went to the Art institute together for photography. She now has a flourishing barbering/ hair service business that she spent years overcoming massive hurdles to achieve. Life never stopped dishing out the BS for my poor friend, but she didn’t let that stand in the way!

There could not be more pride in my heart over all of her accomplishments. I have seen her go through extreme heartache and overwhelming life events… and has proven to be the most resilient person I know.

I can’t help but think back to the night we went out to celebrate marriage equality the night they made LGBTQ+ weddings legal… and now she is married to the woman of her dreams; Now they live happily ever after with their dogs, a cat, and several chicks named after celebrities. (ie: Chickira + Hennifer Lopez! hahaha) I challenge you to find something cuter than that!

Now I feel like a get two friends for the price of one. So… watching the two of them become Mrs. and Mrs. while making photos to preserve that moment for them forever… will remain a cherished memory for me.
